Early College

Dayspring Academy learners enter Early College for grades 8–12, where they can gain high school and college credits simultaneously to earn their Associate of Arts degree by the time they graduate.

Dayspring Academy is an innovative tuition-free public charter school, and our Early College has a proven track record of academic and student success, parent satisfaction, and accolades from state and national education officials. It is a true testament to the power of choice. Our learners consistently earn among the top scores in Florida on standardized tests and have helped us place among the top A+ high schools in the state each year on the Florida School Accountability report. Early College at Dayspring Academy has also been the highest-scoring A+ high school in Pasco County.

About Early College

Early College learners in grades 8th to 10th work alongside an educational advisor and their parents to establish a program of study that best suits the learner while meeting graduation requirements. There are several innovative pathways to choose from, including entrepreneurship, career connected learning, fine arts, and liberal arts.

College transfer credits earned through Early College are accepted at all public universities and colleges in the state of Florida and many nationwide.

Early College at Dayspring Academy provides a wide array of activities with a variety of programs, dances, social activities, performing arts, and community service to meet the interests of our diverse population. Learners may also participate in extracurricular activities such as sports at their zoned public high school.

at Pasco Hernando State College

About Early College

Early College learners in grades 11-12 attend classes at Pasco Hernando State College (PHSC), where they earn college credits and gain a head start on their college experience. Learners continue to receive dedicated support from our Dayspring Academy staff, who maintain their own on-site office at PHSC to ensure every learner has the guidance they need throughout their journey.

College transfer credits earned through Early College are accepted at all public universities and colleges in the state of Florida and many nationwide. The goal of every Early College learner is to attain their high school diploma and their AA Degree.
